Misting System Pressure Setting

Setting the working pressure of the high-pressure atomization system needs to be based on specific application scenarios, equipment types and design requirements.

In the high-pressure misting/fogging system, the working pressure (Operating Pressure) refers to the actual operation of the equipment in the process of real-time generation of fluid pressure value. Rated pressure is a high-pressure atomization system in the equipment manufacturer to set the safety of the pressure limit value, on behalf of the equipment in the long-term operating conditions allowed to withstand the highest continuous pressure.

Rated pressure is the maximum pressure boundary for long-term stable operation of high-pressure atomization systems, the working pressure must be lower than the rated pressure, beyond which will lead to seal failure or structural damage, accelerated wear and tear of the equipment, increased energy consumption and failure rate.

Different system types and application scenarios:

1.Firefighting water mist system:

The rated working pressure usually needs to be ≥ 3.5MPa (high-pressure water mist definition standard), the specific pressure needs to be calculated according to the area of the protection area, the number of spray nozzles and the most unfavorable point of the spray nozzles of the lowest pressure (such as 10MPa) to determine the final design pressure may be up to 14MPa or more.

2.Industrial humidification / fog cannon system:

The pressure range varies greatly. Garden sprinkler irrigation high-pressure fogging system commonly used 2 to 7 MPa; workshop humidification system is usually preset 5-7MPa, can be fine-tuned through the regulator; fog cannon machine working pressure is generally 1.5-3.5MPa.

3.Greenhouse large-area fogging system:

The number of mist nozzles more than 1000 pieces greenhouses, due to the long pipeline, loss of system pressure. Possible machine pressure is 7MPa, the actual pressure at the end of the nozzle is only 3Mpa, up to the expected results. Of course, this also involves the fogging system how to wire the problem, you can refer to some of our wiring scheme. So the greenhouse large area fogging system working pressure are higher to compensate for the pressure loss, generally 8-12Mpa, so that the end of the nozzle pressure can reach 5-8Mpa. This type of system on the pipe fittings and nozzles have special requirements, otherwise it may enter the endless maintenance.

4.Small range of fogging system:

The number of fog nozzles less than 200 small range of fogging system places, such as coffee shops, bars, barbecue restaurants, courtyards, villas, central air conditioning units, warehouses, livestock barns, chicken farms, etc., the working pressure of the fogging system is generally 7-8Mpa, to the end of the nozzle of the actual pressure may be 5-6Mpa.
